Another Hand Made Gift

My brother is now the father to a beautiful baby girl.  I wanted to make something special for her to make sure she knows how very loved she is!

I was so happy with the chevron design of the last baby blanket I made I decided to do something similar this time. Because this one is for a girl I wanted it to feel a little more feminine, maybe even a little lacy.  I found this great pattern and just picked my own yarn and kept the stripes the same size throughout.

I loved this rose pink color so much I decided to make that the prominent color with just a bit of purple and pale yellow thrown in in the mix.  I am so happy with how it turned out!

Dear Baby Girl,
Welcome to the world!  I am so glad you made it here safe and sound!

Thank you for choosing my brother as your father.  I am so happy to have you as a part of my family.  You are so very loved!  This blanket was made with love and good happy thoughts for your life with every stitch.

I can't wait to meet you!  Sleep and eat a grow lots and lots until then!
